Retro-Fit Rear Entertainment
Anyone bought and/or installed one of these in their cars.
https://www.incarpassion.com/11-6-an...6-5-series-gt/ Looks like very close OEM type solution and can be bought on E-Bay for $425. https://www.ebay.com/i/283608606489?...26pg%3D2386202 Last edited by F5506m; 10-09-2019 at 05:46 PM.. |

Personally, I don't like the exposed tablets in the back seats. This is only attracts would be thieves and vandalism to get your rear windows smashed.

Have to agree with last response because when I first picked mine up I was ecstatic about my back seat because that was the one option that I didn't get in my15 f02 felt like I cheated myself 😤so this time around I was definitely getting my18 g12 with every bell and whistle never once thought about the security risk and now that I have her and the newness has worn off a bit that's all I think about it's to a point that I don't drive the car scared I might leave her fine come back and she has been violated went as far as limo tints all around and shades up 24/7 and only do road trips in her and even that depends on where I'm headed then back under car cover in garage she goes !!! I find myself with a new car I don't drive and still driving my f02 everywhere and everyday smh the wife thinks I'm crazy for buying a car to let it sit in the garage !!! Smh lol

I placed an order and will post when it arrives. Seems even better than OEM due to Android and can be used outside of the car as well.

Interesting...I never knew such a solution even existed. We were adamant on having the replacement for our 2016 740i having the rear entertainment system. Couple that with end of pre-LCI production in February 2019 and getting the car in late February (2016 lease ended in early March 2019), we were in an awful bind.
Ended up having to get a dealer trade arranged across the state, as the only 2019 7-Series with the rear entertainment system last February, was a well equipped 750i M-Sport RWD w/overpriced wheels. That was about $25k more and $200 per month increase in lease, but for once haggled it down to ensure that. Sadly M-Sport meant not getting the Luxury package we liked on our 2016 with those lovely rugs and wood grab handles. Really would've desired an Individual spec 750i over an M-Sport. Actually having problems now with HDMI and devices on the 2019 and dealer is seemingly incompetent at resolving the issue. It's like they've never had a Rear Entertainment Professional 7-Series come through their dealership, except ours. Would've just kept the 2016 740i and did this instead (but that didn't have front massagers annoyingly enough). |
