I have ghost links and they work perfectly. Best bang for the buck to lower your G11/12

If the links are installed already and you need to make a slight adjustment,
how do you go about doing thqat? I want to bring the front down a little lower to get the raked look that the car comes with. Right now its just a flat ride. Do I need to take the wheels off and remove links or can they be adjusted on the car? Thanks.

Great thread....
Does the lowering the “default” height affect the camber? I read that no alignment is needed, but does the car now have more negative camber due to it sitting lower? Thanks. Peter

There is absolutlety no need for lowering links to adjust the ride height and lower the car. It took me several days to got it right but I lowerd mine just with software and it sits perfect now with no wheel gap.
Camber wise, the Camber goes to negative as you lower the car, so as long as you dont slam it the best is to do an aligment with the lowest height position and to get it as close to factory spec. As possible. |

With Rheingold (ISTA) you calibrate the car height and calculate your wanted height against actual height keeping in mind the OEM pressure and height difference allowed, and any more than that is not good for your suspension in the long run.
This is how mine sits now with OEM Links and OEM 20 inch. Still need spacers ASAP to make it perfect. This is in Sport setting, in Comfort it sits now as it use to sit in Sport. View post on imgur.com |

Please help
Hi guys. I have G11 with wheels 9x22 ET15 255x30x22 and 10,5x22 ET28 295x25x22.
I would like lower the car. What do you think if I do next sizes for new links 0,33" lower and shorter is result come some 1`` lower? And is this OK? Is this looks final like this white car? Last edited by igor130; 11-01-2019 at 11:46 AM.. |

Im new to the forum and just purchased a 2017 750i xdrive - love the car. Got my wheels in so i installed ghost links and wheels last night. For the life of me I cannot get the same measurements on all 4 corners. I can adjust the rear and the front sits lower. Im off by 1/4" on the front driver to 1/2" in the passenger rear and i used a digital caliper to make sure i adjust mine exactly 5mm to start. I made 2-3 adjustments last night and they would in turn make very large changes in ride height (even with half a turn). Any ideas or advice?

I am a two-time E66 760Li owner, and now a G12 M760i. E66 V12 owners, especially, are no stranger to the outer band of the front tire wearing off prematurely. But I was badly surprised to see it happen on my set of P0s I bought last year for my M760i. OK, OK, it was 17k miles, but still. The rears have lots of life left.
I read this with interest, especially the part about getting more negative camber in Sport mode. I have a Longacre camber plate and--at least to compare before and after--it should be a helpful tool to show a difference. In Comfort I was 3/8" taller than in Sport. I measured camber, and I could detect no difference between the two, so looking at these pictures, you guys are slamming these cars to get more negative camber. Not sure I want to go there, yet... Meanwhile, I ordered this, https://kmacalign.com/product/bmw-f0...hes-194516-1j/ and it absolutely does not come close to fitting. called the dude, he is on vacation and I won't get an answer from him on WTF happened for a couple weeks. Besides the fact he never responds to emails, but always covers his butt in forums if he gets criticized. https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...i-am-over.html For now, my solution is to run P0 run flats, which have better turn-in, anyway and work with a slightly higher pressure than I was using, to try to minimize front tire roll in corners. around 36 PSI cold. (recommended pressure on the door is just too high and feels like driving on steel wagon wheels, and also, skittish on uneven surfaces) I have ISTA and might try playing with the default height and measure with my camber plate to see if I can get a degree or so, extra. |

If you lower it 2cm or more I would suggest to get an aligment. I was in the aligment shop, we put the car on the aligment tools and I lowered the car and watch the camber and Tou in change as the car lowers. Best solution to not wear ypu inner tires was to make the aligment while the car is lowered and in Sport mode thus in the lowest setting.
