yup, tyre strategy is going to be crucial tomorrow.
Max on pole is awesome, but the gap with Ferrari is tiny. Lets hope for a crash free (and mechanical trouble free) race tomorrow and see what the strategy of both teams brings. On the one side I obviously want Max to win everything, but on the other side I also want an as long as possible close racing season

Max getting pole before the checkered gave me some 2021 type feelings. Really excited about tomorrow but I think we're going to have a close battle between RB/Ferrari/Merc
I was watching post-quali and they showed how planted the Ferrari was over the curbing and the banked sweepers. Max's damper rebound looks too stiff. I think Ferrari is a better setup car for Zandvoort but Max is Max. It also might be that the damper setting will benefit Red Bull greatly under full fuel load. |

The flexible floor is about the plank that runs down the center of the chassis isn't it? That's flex on the aero, not the plank, also probably caused by hitting the curbing. Regardless, as one redditor pointed out in that post, MB is running a lower ride height and a different rake compared to RB (could be why RB is so much faster than MB?).
Interesting comment by this reddit poster saposapot; "RBR runs the floor higher, also the reason they don’t show as much bouncing as others. It was really a winner decision. Mercedes always had in mind to run their car super low, their whole concept is based on that and that’s why they needed substancial changes for their car to perform anything close to normal while increasing the height. They weren’t expecting bouncing so they were forced to it and just later did some adaptations so it still works. It is still an hack, so their car is still not very good. They need to start over assuming they need to run it higher and make the tunnels still work in that way. Neweys bet was spot on." |

things are looking much closer this weekend.. cause watching Max overtaking other cars except Perez without even taking a slight risk was pretty boring and fake..
and somebody please calculate "DRS lunges" better.. its most of the time too aggressive and making overtaking much much easier than it should be.. Quote:
