Chassis Function Limited Warning - 2016 750
My wife and I were at the Cubs game and when we got back to the car they had it parked on uneven pavement. I turned the car on and there were a bunch of error messages. Chassis Function Limited, drivetrain malfunction, headlamp vertical aim control malfunction, and restraint system. The steering seems a little tighter than normal also. Any advice on what caused this? Thanks!

I had this happen, minus the restraint system warning, and there was a relay and module in the trunk they replaced (according to the dealership). Might not be the same but worth mentioning.

There is no way anyone could answer this. There are too many variables unknown. You need to take it to your dealer.

I have the chassis restricted warning on mine, nothing is wrong the car drives perfectly, swaps between all modes and is level, lowers & raises etc....been to the dealer nothing they can see, it's very odd.

750i xdrive
Hello,
I have a 2016 750i xdrive with 30k miles. Recently, I started getting a chassis problem message. The car performs mostly fine but seems to be sitting low in front and wheels really close to wells in front. Also, seems to sometimes scrape when leaving driveway which it didn’t before. Please note, I have had 3-4 awful (gouging attempts) by my local Bimmer dealer so refuse to go back. I had to engage Corporate US CEO to get a “goodwill” adjustment for them to replace front thrust rods ($4800 estimate) at 22k miles, as well as other issues with them. My older M6 (Comp) was way different and I think this 750 is designed poorly for regular owners that don’t expect a luxury costly car to have so many issues with such low miles. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

"Low in front" could mean failed air suspension struts or the pump. Need to take it in to a good indy
