Battery charger: fault in separator / wiring harness
Hello, I started receiving power steering errors so checked the battery in the trunk and that was low. Replaced the battery and still having the EPS issues. These are the codes pulled. I have an f02 with rear wheel drive. I am at my wits end. Has anyone had this issue and had it resolved?

Wait…you stated you were having EPS issues…and you replaced “a” battery that was showing low state of charge.
But you didn’t tell us WHICH battery you replaced. I believe a 7 series with EPS has a main battery and an auxiliary battery…with the aux battery being the one that powers the EPS system. You have posted a code that your “additional” battery (this is the aux battery) is deeply discharged…so can you reveal which battery you replaced..the main (big) battery or the smaller (aux) battery? Depending on model and/or options…the aux battery can be in the trunk or in the engine bay. See attachments below for info about the aux battery & possible location…plus the systems the aux battery controls:

Hello, thank you for the response. My aux battery was not where it usually is. I decided to pull the side panel in my trunk that covers the fuses, etc., to check fuses and connections, and I found the auxiliary battery. Finally, my power steering issue is resolved.

Great! Glad you found your aux battery location and that it resolved your issue. Thanks for posting back that your problem was resolved…and updating us with pics of where you found your aux battery.
