730Li with the N52 engine
Hey y'all
Was wondering if anyone of you guys have any experience regarding the N52 powered 730i/Li from around 2014 that has been available for the Asian market primarily. Got questions regarding speed, fuel consumtion, and overall feel of the powertrain. 258hp. I cant imagine it being the fastest car around, but im more focused on a smooth drive rather than a fast one. Let me know if you have any input on this! Thanks in advance! |

Slightly different, as being in the States we never got a 730 nor an N52 powered 7 whatsoever, we did receive a one year N52 powered F10 528, which as you may know is a very similar platform to the F01/02 chassis cars.
They are great! They're slow, yes, however N52s are generally quite smooth and the updated sound deadening and engine mounts over older N52 cars makes a world of difference. Torque range is great for such a heavy car, where 330s making similar horsepower are sporty feeling, it tones itself down quite nicely to lug around the weight of a 5er or 7er. Never mind an N52 powered 7 series might be the most reliable way to get into the platform. Especially compared to an N54 or N63!
