G11 Active Comfort Drive retrofit?
I recently bought a 2019 G11 750d. This may be a weird question, but is it possible to manually add the Active Comfort Drive (option code 2VS) option to a G11?
My car has Integral Active Steering (option code 2VH), but not 2VS. I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere |

I don't think it's possible to retrofit. Road Preview uses a forward-facing camera mounted behind the rear view mirror to read the road surface and adjust the suspension system in real time via the Dynamic Damper Control system.
Don't think it's worth the hassle. |

Hello everyone,
according to the technical training documents the Kafas Camera is the same if you have active lae keep assist and traffic sign recognition. It also states, that hte kafas camera is constantly evaluating the road surfac, regardless of which dricing mode youre in. If the optional pakage "Executive Drive Pro (Active Comfort Drive) (2VS) is fitted to the car, only then will the evaluated data of the kafas kamera be send to the EDC control unit. Now if I am only interested in the active road evaluation feature regarding the premature lifting and lowering of the suspension according to the road surface, would it be possible to only code that feature in? I do not care about active roll stabilization and as far as i can see, all of the additional components you would need, are for the active roll stabilization system (Picture 1&2). If you could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. |
