I will probably banish myself forever to the "You know you're old when" thread with this comment, but I refuse to own a smart phone. My wife gave me one years ago; I (barely) used it for a couple of years and then went back to a flip phone that I use maybe ten times a year max.

I use my computer to come on here and most other online browsing so never had any issues with my neck. I use my phone mainly for quick stuff like texting or sending a quick email. I only really browse if I need to find something when I'm out and about.

the lack of posterior chain activation from sitting and electronic use will be a major detrimental factor as we age. I will be the test subject at I was born in 92. Kids 2000 and up have had a smartphone since birth and will cause a spike in spinal injuries....
posterior chain activation and back extension are crucial to get going every day |
