Yellow Alpina Engine Cover Decal...Fix? - Sort of.
So not sure I would call this a fix, as I'm not sure how long it will last, but the yellow decal on the engine cover was horrendous. Even if this is not "authentic", per se, that fact doesn't compare to the "yellow" color. I could spring $699 for a new cover that included a "white" Alpina emblem, but that is sort of steep for just a new "white" emblem.
Next best thing...I used a 74mm "trunk" decal. BTW, sanding off the yellow does NOT work.... Last edited by M_Bimmer; 03-19-2024 at 09:44 PM.. |

My engine cover before logo applied (on table), after production, then with my logo applied in my office chair ha.
I rebadged my Alpina without their colors, stormtrooper style. |

JellyStyle, thanks for the link....so what did you do for the raised features on your engine cover? (the white portion, excluding the logo).
The edges look really great if they were hand painted. |

I have a guy in Lithuniam who has a company that does it. They removed all those items and then, yes, hand painted, then heat cured.
