I cannot directly answer your question sadly.
However, my i7 today got notified today (24 May 2024) of the most recent March-dated software update others have talked about on here. Evidently that software update for other users ultimately enabled the door remote control feature. The update completed successfully but I don't see door controls in my app quite yet. Maybe BMWNA are rolling updates to more cars |

It took a few days for my myBMW app to display the necessary UI after the initial software update. Approaching my car yesterday, I noticed the app now lets me control the doors finally. |

*celebration emoji* It really is such a cool feature; it makes using the automatic doors from the exterior useful for me.
(It looks like the vBulletin backend doesn't support most UTF-32 characters lol no emojis for us) |

Is this still working for everyone?
It worked for me once about a week ago. But since then, there is no automatic doors option on the app, despite standing right next to the car. |

Then there was an update to the myBMW app on my iPhone...and it worked after the update. Guessing there was a bug somewhere. But working now! |

It's pretty cool to open the doors with the app, especially a passenger. Unfortunately, you have to press the button the entire time while the door is opening, otherwise it stops opening if you take your finger off the door button on the screen. Wish BMW made a setting in the app, for customization for one press or long press. Better yet, if they had an interface with Siri and Apple Home so that you can say, "Siri, open the driver door." |

i can move the car back and forth - but the door don't work. could be: - a legal thing (not permitted/wanted by bmw) - related to the comfort opening when approaching - i simple bug - all of the above |
