(Battery) 2016 G12 750i xdrive
Replaced and registered a new battery in the trunk today. Bought the battery from the dealer. 10 and 13 mm sockets needed. Learned to use the sleep function. Learned to use diagnostic function via the start/stop. If you’re up for a challenge, it’s worth it. Most difficult part was registering and clearing codes. The battery was from the factory 2015…nine years old. This is why I love the quality!

Hopefully your new battery came with the little plastic baggy that contained a new little black elbow and additional plug.
If you reused the little black elbow to hook up the car’s vent tube…no problem…you now have a spare. But the additional little plug needs to be inserted into the vent hole on the other side of the batter to prevent off gasses from the battery filling the enclosed battery compartment. All off gasses need to be vented to the exterior of the car…thus the need to plug the other hole.
