M8 or F90 M5 wheels for G12?
I'm still in the hunt for some wheels for my M760i. I can't find much in the aftermarket world, when I find something with the right size that I like, they are either discontinued or the brakes are too big.
I have come across the M8 810M wheels in gloss black and I want to give them a shot for my G12. Have any of you tried to put F90 M5 or M8 wheels on your G11/G12? If so, how is the fitment and did you need spacers? All the rims for the M8 and F90 M5 are 9.5/10.5 20's, a step above width-wise over the stock 648M's 8.5/10 20's. I'm looking to go 265/295, just like I have on my F10 M5, but a taller sidewall for the M760i, thinking 265/40/20 and 295/35/20. Any thoughts? |

Whatever you end up going with, I’d love to take a look at your 760m’s if you’re selling them!

These are the specs for the 648M wheels. I am also running 12mm spacers front and rear.
The offset for the M5 and M8 wheels is 28mm. I think you may run in to an issue in the front even with the 3mm increased offset in combination with a 9.5" wheel and 265 tire, however spacers could potentially resolve that issue. The 295 on the 20x10.5 in the rear would be fine. Last edited by BlackM750i; 05-07-2024 at 09:35 AM.. |

BlackM750i, thanks for the info. I was thinking that about the fronts and I think that spacers would push the fronts out too much, making it look odd. Ideally, 9" fronts are probably most suitable for this chassis. Ultimately, I may go with the M8 rims and just sell them if it doesn't work out, they are cheap enough. Thanks again!!
djacinto, mine doesn't have the 760M's, most M760i's that I've seen are split between the 648M's that I have and the 760M's. Thanks for your reply though! |

I just purchased the 810Ms and they should arrive tomorrow, I am not sure when I can get around to getting tires and installation. I'll update the thread when I do and we'll see if these fit. Fingers crossed!

They just came in, they look great! They are very heavy, I just weighed the rears in the 38lb range. They are cast, there have been questions about cast v. forged. So, they look great, they are not forged and they are heavy. I'm sure the fronts are 35lbs, but I haven't weighed the fronts.
For reference and based on my research, the 648M wheels weigh 29lbs and 27lbs respectively vs. the 810 wheels weighing in at 38lbs and 35lbs. 20x8.5 and 20x10 648M 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 810M |

Haha and true, but this thing does accelerate like mad! Maybe runs a 3.7 0-60 and 11.5 quarter mile. I don't know if I like cruising it or smashing on the gas better. V12 M POWER!
