Unable to charge message. Can not charge

Has anyone got this message?

I tried resetting/updating my wallbox and keep getting the message and no way to start charging.

I went to an electrify America DC fast charger and I get the same message.

It seems to initialize and begin charging for about 10-20 seconds ans then faults.

did you try another charger?

i had issues of not charging without error message at a public charger - the other station worked. while i was charging another car arrived and left as it did't charge as well...

do you have an app for you wallbox?
does it require internet connection and if yes, does it have connection?
mine at home wont' do shit when offline...

I got this message a few times with my BMW Wallbox charger, but never with our ChargePoint charger (both Level 2).

Locking the car, letting it 'sit', removes this message and then the car charges fine.

I did try a public charger; same message.

I reset idrive. Let it clear error message and left it locked overnight and same error.

My wall box has been charging without issue for over a year now. Though I don’t have another electric car I can test it on (to see if issue is with wallbox)

We will see what the dealer says tomorrow.

Update: so the car was charging at some stations and not others. My wallbox at home would not charge. I dropped it at the dealership today.

My SA just called and let me know there is a known software issue with high voltage charging at some chargers. BMW is aware of the issue and currently working on new coding to rectify the issue, which may take a few weeks. They recommended using low voltage chargers until then. The loaner i7 is charging fine at my home so will be using that until it’s fixed.
