I just brought in my 2023 740i into the dealership for this issue and they confirmed they needed to order the parts that pcgeek posted via SIB 51 17 23. They ordered the following parts: 51 33 9 447 505 / 51 33 9 447 506 / 51 33 9 447 535 / 51 33 9 447 536.

I extensively test drove a 24 i7 and a 760 today and I didn't detect any unusual or troubling wind noise, and it was a very windy day, so I am very confident this repair has been incorporated into the later build 24s

I took delivery of my 2024 i7 on 3/30/24, and have done two long freeway (highway) drives at up to 80mph and one drive had very strong winds! I noticed ZERO wind noise...so I agree, this repair/fix must be incorporated into later build 24s.

The 7 is amazingly quiet, as quiet as my S560 or moreso. I had the i7 up to 90 on the highway and no troubling wind noise. You do hear wind, but you always will.

Just opened the driver door and my date also says 1/24. I drove my i7 today to and from work on the freeway and again speeds were between 50-80mph and zero wind noise. This car is as quiet as my Phantom, and honestly MUCH quieter when I had a Ghost!!

It is fixed from cars after a certain production date. So yes, I think all 24’s and up don’t have this issue but I don’t recall the exact date.

FWIW, the SIB applies for production through September 30, 2023 so I assume the updated parts were incorporated into the production line at that point.

This has definitely been rectified. My i7 xDrive60 is exponentially quieter than my G12 and about as quiet as my EQS580 SUV with acoustic comfort package. The new felt door sills are my favorite part as there is no more need to have service oil them once a year due to squeaking over low speed bumps and driveways ingress/egress.

I took my car in (it needed its annual New York inspection anyhow) and asked them to do the wind noise fiix per the SIB. The car is back today and they said a new SIB said to apply sealant on the door frame, soo I have to evaluate that and come back if the noise is still there. I'll need to come back anyway when they finally have a fix for the brake unit that is the subkect of a recall.

No remedy yet. I was at dealer for the wind noise and active lane change update. Not supposed to drive the car if we see that brake error.

Got my '24 G70 in the US, manufactured in mid Dec '23, and I can confirm how annoying the noise is. Barely have 2k miles on it, as I was traveling for work most of the time. While washing it last week I noticed how shoddy the insulation/rubberwork on the driver side door is.
I can confirm that the vehicle still has that issue, but at the same time, the SIB quoted above notes that it should be fixed. |

I bought the 2023 760i back in November 2022. The wind noise it makes is beyond frustrating. It sounds like the window is slightly cracked open. Took it in to BMW dealer where purchased three different times. Each time they conveyed BMW corporate had a fix, however each time I was informed that the fix they thought they had did not work. BMW corporate obviously knows there is an issue with this model however doing nothing to help out customers that invested over $130K on their brand new model. Amazing car if it didn’t sound like the window was cracked open. Just too frustrating to thoroughly enjoy the driving experience.
