My Info Feature and Internet access
I think this is one of the coolest features where you can send an address say of a restaurant from google maps to your car through bmw assist and then use the navigation to guide you there-anyone else tried it;its a shame in the us they do not offer full internet access-i hope they will change this in the future when they agree terms with a carrier-i presume the technology is there and to activate it will require a software upgrade
For our canadian colleagues-do you get internet access |

That's simple. Do a search on maps.google.com for an address (it only works with a single adress and not a route!). Once google shows the address you are looking for in the map view, click on the 'Send' link on the right hand side just above the map view. That brings up a dialog box in the center of your screen. Click on 'Car' then select 'BMW" from the Make selection box. Then select the BMW Assist country (in your case scroll down to 'BMW US') and enter your BMW assist account info. At this point you can add a phone number or any other notes you feel are important and click on the 'Send' button. That's it. In your car you should see it I believe in the Contacts list, select it and iDrive will workout the way to the destination for you Hope this helps!

just to clarify further-the bmw assist account information is the email address you used to register with bmw; you will see it under menu-bmw assist-messages in your car-you can then choose to navigate or call the place
