Do you mean hard wiring a radar detector in your 7? If so, it is very difficult on this vehicle because bus systems turn all the control modules on. Your best bet is to hardwire your radar detector into auxillary power supply on passenger side of center console. You can have your dealership run the wiring along headliner, down a-pillar and then over to that auxillary power supply. Only catch is this, you will be responsible for turning off the radar detector everytime. If you don't, you will run down your battery and cause premature wear.

No, I'm not looking to hard wire the radar detector, what I'm trying to find out is if there is a cutout on the windshield without the film so that the radar detector is not interfered with. The prior model had a small cutout above the dash which worked perfectly.
