2011 BMW Alpina B7 pricing released!
On the heels of their 2011 pricing structure press release, BMW now has listed pricing for the exclusive 2011 BMW Alpina B7 and B7L.

As the second generation of ALPINA automobiles based on the BMW 7 Series to be offered in the US, the 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 sedan will retail for $122,875 (standard wheelbase) and $126,775 (extended wheelbase). Both prices include $875 Destination & Handling. The first BMW ALPINA B7 was offered as a limited edition for the 2007 and 2008 model years. Newly interpreted and based on the current BMW 7 Series platform, the B7 will again set the benchmark in terms of performance, refinement, and technology. Yielding exquisite levels of power and torque from the twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8, and in conjunction with the electronically-adjustable suspension with Active Roll Stabilization, the new B7 promises to offer a spectrum of driving experiences so broad as to be unheard of in this class of automobiles. The evolution of the traditional 20-spoke 21" ALPINA Classic wheels underlines the fresh design language found throughout the B7 and imparts to it a distinctive appearance and powerful stance. Both standard- and long-wheelbase models will be offered. The BMW ALPINA B7 will make its North American debut at the Chicago International Auto Show and will go on sale at authorized BMW Centers in Spring of 2010. The B7 sedan is equipped with BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter, all-aluminum, High Precision Direct Injection V-8 engine which has been enhanced by ALPINA and is capable of producing 500 (373kW) horsepower and 516 lb-ft (700Nm) of torque. This rear-wheel drive performance/luxury Sedan achieves 0-60 mph in 4.5 sec. With maximum torque available across an unusually broad engine range, from 3,000 to 4,750 rpm, the B7 accelerates effortlessly from virtually any speed. The B7 sedan is finished with ALPINA aerodynamic developments, including front and rear spoilers which not only enhance the appearance but also improve stability and performance at high speeds. In true “form-follows-function” fashion, the ALPINA front integrates the fresh-air requirements of the transmission and engine oil coolers, which are separated out of the main cooler module for improved efficiency. The spoilers reduce lift at the front by 30% and rear by15%. The exhaust system’s two double tailpipes are seamlessly integrated into the rear bumper. The newest evolution of the traditional 20-spoke ALPINA Classic wheels gives the B7 a distinctive appearance and powerful stance. The interior of the B7 sedan features ALPINA blue illuminated door sill trims, Switchtronic heated steering wheel in hand-stitched Lavalina leather, Alcantara headliner, Heads Up display, and the Black-Panel LCD screen instrument cluster branded with ALPINA. Hand-stitched Lavalina leather also covers the dashboard, door panels, center console, multi-contour front seats with heating and cooling, and heated rear seats. The full complement of BMW 7 Series exterior colors remains available, in addition to the signature ALPINA Blue metallic paint. Wallpapers Set 1 Set 2 |

Curious why someone would opt for this instead of the new 760Li model. Obviously Alpina has its unique styling etc... but if you're spending the money why not get the biturbo v12?

Noob question, can this be ordered directly through your dealer?
EDIT: Just read that it can be in Spring.

People will buy it for the interior and exterior styling as well as the badge. I think this will be faster than the 760Li, however. It has 35 less hp and torque (how convenient?) while there is a 400lbs weight difference between the 750iL and 760iL.

Eleven 7-series?!!?!?
Is it just me, or is the count of 7-series just a little excessive?

Its like the S63 vs S600, many choose the S63 because its V8 cheaper on gas, lol What I dont get is V12 is just marginally more at the pump, but the performance, smoothness is one of a kind. Its like sitting in a jet |

It really needs a brake upgrade to go with the wheels. The plain rotors and calpers look cheap and industrial......Steve

Only $1,875 more than the price predicted in Rondel. That's an unbelievable price in dollars compared to the pricing in Euros quoted on th Alpina site.
Alpina's taking a bath on the exchange rate. |

Drove this car on Sat with the Alpina Rep. Pretty nice....heres my thoughts
1. Only 500HP? They lowered the compression and made the heat exchangers bigger.....Think 550-600 should have been the target power 2. $120,000 Id say its defintely priced well. 3. Interior I thought they could have done a little more, but afterall f01 quality if far nicer than e65 4. Exterior was alright..... Overall good price for what your getting..... just expected a litttle more from alpina |

Just in my own humble opinion.....
E65 Alpina B7 was awesome and impressive. Very well engineered supercharger system, brought the impressive horsepower/torque to the 7 series that it needed without any issues. E65 B7 also brought some nice interior luxeries like a suede headliner and a-pillars that only the 760 had. Overall price comparison: E65 750i $75,000 760 $122,000 B7 $116,000 Now F01 has had a huge price jump...... now there are alot of options for F01 and they have seperated alot of items out of packages but your average F01 750 is 100-110K depending on options. The new 760 with 535hp is on its way STARTING at 137K..... Now you can really see the price savings with the alpina @ 122-126k. As far as not really being wow'd.... If you have ever owner or driven a E65 B7 the styling and attributes to the F01 are much of the same.....IE same style bumpers, wheels ect.... The interior quality of the regular F01 is far more nicer than the e65 and that is money well spent, so there wasnt much to spice up for the Alpina. In conclusion, If you've had a E65 B7 before you wont be wow'd at the plus F01 plus factors over the original F01 750, however for an extra 10-15k more its worth having a limited production vehicle that is produced with perfection and will hold its value much longer. I hope that helps, feel free to ask more questions, we already have 3 preordered at my dealer, let me know if I can help. |

So the gist of it is that the B7 should have had a greater increase in horsepower and torque versus the normal 750 engine? Likewise, the interior additions are nice but since the F01 interior is such a marked improvement over the E65, it's less apparent and needed?
I appreciate the insight. I'm still conflicted over spending the extra cash for the B7 over the 750 with the M Sport Package and 20" wheel upgrade. Not as exclusive sure, but maybe 90% of the B7 for 80% of the price. Please post again if you have anything further to add. You're a lucky man to drive the new B7 since my CA has no idea when the first one will be available in NY. |

B7
Does anyone know if Integral Active Steering (2VH) is standard on the B7? It is not on the option list dated 18 Feb 10. In addition, is the gold decal kit, as seen on the White B7 at the Tokyo auto show, available for US models? It is listed in the European Alpina configuration list.
