Jos Verstappen was involved in a massive crash during Rallye de Wallonie stage in Belgium, smashing into a tree 😳

The former F1 driver escaped the wreckage unharmed.



Pretty much "kitted" that one. The fact driver can walk away from this kind of accident is a wonderful achievement of engineering and fabrication.

Nice to have F1 back after an unwanted long break and Miami should be an interesting one with its mix of long straights and tighter sections putting a lot of focus on strategy, tire management and adapting to the heat and track surface. Hopefully we also get a proper fight at the front, with Ferrari and McLaren close enough to really challenge Mercedes this time around, and maybe even start closing the gap in the WCC.

Off track it is a full festival again, with big fan zones, live shows, and appearances from drivers like Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc, plus performances from artists like Nelly and Marshmello. Overall it should be another weekend where both the racing and the off-track entertainment are a big part of the experience.

All the cars in front of him drifted through that turn and that pulled a lot of gravel out of the road.
At some point the 'loose gravel becomes very tricky to take that turn at high speed.
Jos lost control on the gravel and became a passenger . It was a big shunt by the rollover...

This happens even to the best drivers in the Rally motorsport races.

- races remain sold out
- TV audiences are up (based on the analysis of F1’s top 14 broadcast markets, y/y Australia was +26%, China +32%, Japan +19%)
- post-race polling is trending more positive
- commercial revenue flow is up
- new race tracks are fighting for place on the calendar

But, by all means, keep interjecting your conspiracy theories about F1 decline ...

Early 2026 Formula 1 viewership shows a mixed, polarized picture: European markets are seeing significant drops—including a 49% dip in Spain (DAZN) and 40% in France (Canal+) after the Japanese GP—due to controversy over new technical regulations. Conversely, other reports indicate over 20% growth in Australia and Japan, with strong overall attendance.
We will see in the long view but Me, I going to go with what looks like the majority of the drivers and most of the F1 press, but you do what you want.

As per the UAH satellite record there has been no net warming since the 1998 El Nino, hence the 50/50 is overreacted BS by the clueless.
