The UK now has a new highest-ever temperature record. The London Fire Brigade has declared a major emergency, and is fighting multiple large fires around the city that they are blaming on the heat and dry weather.....

Thankfully, while the temperature is rising the humidity is falling (was 99% at 06:00) |

Yeah the weather channel is always so accurate, like 10 degrees of humidity makes perfect sense. /s
Just like all that rain we are getting... every day this week is saying rain and I'd almost bet we don't see 1mm. |

Just heard on the news that part of a runway surface has melted due to heat at the Luton airport in the U.K.

The main one that was in the news was 41 houses and grass land on fire in a district of East London not that far from the City.

Brutal. Last time we were there was July 2019 and it was in the upper 80's and low 90's then. And that was tough on the subways and in some of the museums where they had no a/c. Can't imagine temps over 100F there. Yikes.

For sure riding in 40C+ heat is not great but with me it's just sweat with two ice cold water bottles drunk frequently and a welcome cold shower when I get back.

High surf advisory. Might need to walk down to the pier and check out the south swell.
