You are really doing yourself a disservice by starting to watch this season. Do not watch another episode until you get completely caught up. So much has happened since the first episode. You have to understand how the story progressed to fully understand this season.

That would be awesome!

Honestly, you've kind of ruined the show a bit for your self.

Like a few ppl have already said.. Start the show from the beginning.

I did the season a day when I start watching. At the time it was season 4.. Took me 4 days to be caught up.

While it was gratifying to see his own dogs to the deed, part of me wanted Jons dire wolf to have had the honor (for all the Stark dire wolfs that have died).

Naw, murder and eating human flesh would've been a break in character for the direwolves. The dogs attacked Ramsay because they were hungry, and once they got a taste of blood they couldn't contain their instinct to kill. Direwolves are too noble for that.

Consider when we've seen them kill humans: it's always in battle and/or in defense of their human, never just in cold blood after being set upon a helpless victim.

Props to the writers for the slight nod to The Dark Knight.

When watching that episode I was immediately reminded of Joker's line "We'll see how loyal a hungry dog really is".

The boat roast was fantastic, as well. In the place of those sailors, having seen the dragon approach my wooden ship full of fireball making stuff, I would have gone over the side immediately and not waited for the BBQ featuring myself as the guest of honor.

I had a Dogue de Bordeaux (Hooch) mastiff.

It was actually given to my family when I was a teenager by neighbors who didn't realize just how big this breed grew.

We called him Buster....and he was the laziest dog I have ever owned.

That was awesome! I thought to myself, "Shit, I need to learn how to do that." And then realized that I don't live in Westeros.
