Nice to see someone else on RE-11! 255/285 here Best street tires I've ever owned, on my second set now! Makes PSS feel like crap.

EDIT: Noooo, RE-11 are amazing tires, they take a week or so to really come into their own.

Weird, they are the top rated extreme summer tire on TR. Lot of grip and when they let go they are very predictable. They are quiet too. Not sure what you didnt like

My last set lasted about 15-20k miles too!

They are making me hate my stock suspension though, now that the tires are planted I can really feel the slop in it. (Non EDC)

They're maybe one marginal step above PSS for dry grip.

On the street... not noticeable once PSS is broken in.

They're #1 not for the dry performance, but for the road manners, wet performance, and longevity - hence why they are pretty much dead last in Extreme for handling!

Yes, but look at what Tire Rack is putting a lot of weight on: lap times and maximum lateral G's. I don't know about you, but 99.9% of my driving is in a straight line at 35mph (or less). That's where things like tire noise, ride quality, and wet traction/hydroplaning resistance are important.

Tire Rack does not compare tires between different categories so they'll never outright say "the RE-11 is louder than the PSS".

IMHO, PSS are amazing all around tires, in fact they were my original choice, but RE-11 are grippier, more predictable dry weather tires. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion though, by no means saying you made a mistake by changing them. If you like a different tire then that's the best tire for you.

The RE-11 definitely have more grip than the PSS...

But a lot of lap times I've seen tell me it's by about .1-.5 seconds with all things considered.

If it's that on a track, on the street it's even less noticeable!

Thanks for the feedback Dave. You said you're running a 275/30... I guess that's 6mm taller in terms of diameter than my 265/30?

Around that, yes.

Let's see how these 275/30/19 and 295/30/19 PS91s handle the street...

No problem,

However, it would be 30% of 10mm or 3mm difference.
