One source (Not the greatest outlet -- The Truth About Cars -- but the article quotes a former EDR engineer at Ford who now consults and says Porsche does not install EDRs in its cars.) Also, Page 107 in this source by the same consultant states the same thing. It's a common assumption among Porschephiles that the cars don't have full IIHS-approved EDRs. But they do have extensive data-logging capability. The Paul Walker crash (and others) proved that.
