Sounds like a very educated guess , these cars now are taking almost 8 weeks in production compared to only 2-4 weeks before. also i heard there is big delay in shipping . hopefully this situation in Europe doesn't escalate more .

That 8 week data cannot be right. They couldn't run the factory that slowly and stay in business. My last 2 7's were about a month from order acceptance to start of production (which is consistent with production numbers issued this week and production in October), then a week or so in actual production, then had to get from factory to port, then on a boat. Also, when BMW issues a production week, it is generally the week production will be completed. From production to delivery could be 8 weeks, depending on where you are and whether anything needs to be installed at the delivery port. I think they'll want to get these cars delivered by year end to make their numbers. But then again this is a strange time, so maybe that is wishful thinking on my part.

My iX M60 has been "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" for 7 weeks now. It isn't even at port, just an overflow lot outside of the Dingolfing factory, logistics is horribly messed up at this moment. Even if completed during your build week, actually getting the vehicle may take months.

That's very discouraging and also makes delivery estimates very unpredictable even if production is on track. I was originally told my car would not be produced until December, so I guess I'm ahead of the game.

As you have stated earlier, I was also told the production is not an issue. It will be completed in 2-4 weeks. Putting the car on the ship is what seems to be taking a lot longer than before. Once on the ship, 2-3 weeks, depending on the port location and weather.

Got my production number for my 760i!!Decided to move forward without the Autobahn Package. What the heck!Only paperwork is the Vehicle Inquiry sheet. My salesperson asked me to mark it as accepted and sign.Assume production date is similiar to what has been mentioned here.Hope they can get the shipping situation straightened out. Not good for the cars to just sit.

Good news , I think it might be quicker that what I thought , today I saw that my car entered production(earlier 4 weeks than what was scheduled) and estimated production completion date of 10/6/2022

I am sure its gonna change soon unless you have something very specific like an individual color etc..
Also i made a minor change on my build the same day i got the production number , maybe BMW moves the car faster when they know that you already made your change and give the rest sometime before going into production? , once the car starts production no change can be done to the build , that's funny because i was just thinking yesterday to add this big 4K screen but I was hesitant, now i definitely can't lol

My SA was supposed to tell me but I lost patience. I called the BMW Genius Line. They'll tell you the week. The week means the week of completion, so you may see your car go into production on the website a bit earlier.

(844) 443-6487‬. Just work through the menus and ask for "agent".

Has anyone received a production number for an i7? Specifically, anyone who put the $1500 deposit back in April.

Dealer told me yesterday their i7 demo is in production, and there are a few popping up on the sites like cars.com etc, I assume from dealer inventory systems that populate those when a VIN is given.

Congrats! Can you please keep us up to date on its progress, including shipping? Trying to figure out when I can expect to see mine, which is scheduled for week 43.
