Sorry, I guess I was supposed to contribute as well.
Based on the responses here, I'm going to hazard a guess that none of you have ever had time to sit at home and read a book. I've done that. Booyah. |

Shit! Glad I no longer live in that area! Wouldn't wanna end up at your office by accident!
![]() As for what I've done.... well one time I was chilling on the front yard and decided dogs are awesome, so I shall be one, I then proceeded to take a shit in the front lawn. Honestly you haven't lived until you've taken a nice shit on your own lawn. That's what I've been told anyways, I was like 3 or 4 or some age. ![]() I've also watched midget wrestling in a church. ![]() |

Well, since my first post was not unique, I'll try another:
I learned to water ski on the Gulf of Siam.

Possibly but I would have been only 4 or 5. Lived in Stuttgart thanks to the US Army during the construction of the Berlin Wall, Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis. Good time, or so I’m told.

My son was born at Bad Constatt US Army hospital outside Stuttgart while I was stationed at Patch Barracks in Vaihingen. I lived in Echterdingen, not far from the Army helo base.

Esteban was kind enough to message me and remind me of a post I made a couple of years ago about a unique experience I had when I was a teenage. I'll share it again because it certainly fits in with this new thread. Thanks Esteban for encouraging me to share this story again. If anyone finds the old post (I couldn't), please don't compare too closely. Preciseness starts fading one move toward the center of the lawn.
![]() Here's the story: Back when I was 16, I was playing guitar in a band. We weren't very good and I didn't sing very well, but I had become pretty proficient on the guitar in the 3 years or so that I had been playing. I had my acoustic guitar (1953 Martin for those who know guitars) in the trunk of my car when I drove the the wedding of my cousin. Well, she had a family member on her side that was married at the time to Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys. It turns out that Carl Wilson came to the wedding and also to the reception back at my aunt an uncle's house. I was 16, a bit starstruck and very fearless. After we had our dinner, I approached Carl Wilson and told him I had a guitar in my trunk and asked if he wanted to jam a bit. He said Yes! So, for the next hour or so, he and I sat on the lawn with others gathered around and played songs, switching my guitar back and forth between us. His voice was amazing on the Beach Boy tunes he played and also on the other songs we did. He was really up on other bands' music of the time and could easily play along and knew many of the words. It was one of those moments you cannot even imagine. Wait there's more: Carl Wilson had just gotten a 1964 (I think) DB5, the same make and model that was in the James Bond film of that year. He asked me if I wanted to go for a drive! So, after jamming with him for an hour, I get to go for a ride in his new Aston Martin, just the two of us. If you've read anything at all about him, he is the nicest, most unaffected by fame person there is. My experience with him certainly reflect that public opinion. He could not have been nicer. That day he was just another wedding guest with a really amazing car he wanted to show off. It was a perfect afternoon. |
