Newey TP role was only ever going to be the first few weeks. Totally the wrong guy for that role.

So is it the PU, battery or aero causing the vibrations or a combination of the three but I agree AN was never going to gel with the green team, too many new ideas that are clashing with each other. It was the same with the RB21 at first where he said he didn't like something until he left them when the pressure grew with him being the easy target.

I think the fact that Max did it almost and entire year younger is worthy of note, but Ant did it in the fastest car on the grid by considerable margin. Max took a 4th or 5th best car and won against the most dominant car of all time and that is far more impressive.

As stated earlier. Max did not beat the Merc, they crashed into each other.

How did Max do against the Merc the rest of the season. Not well


He’s a great driver but once again this year has shown it’s at least 80% car. No driver can win with a bad car.

MAX won his first World Title in 2021 vs LEW in his 30 km/h faster Mercedes W12 equipped with DAS and the cheating Party-Mode.
In 2023 , MAX won 19/22 races in a competitive dominant RB19 . A new F1 record (!)

Last year in 2025 the RB21 sucked for more than 6 months vs a unbeatable McLaren MCL39...
McLaren won at least 3 races with a car that was sitting too low according to the FIA regulations.
The McLaren tires lasted forever with a tire cooling trick ...
And in the end it still was extremely close with just 2 WDC points.

MAX's current car is the RB22 but the thing drives like a dangerous reversing wheelchair (!)
MAX and Hadjar : 2 crashes and 2 DNF's in the first 2 races of this 2026 season (!)
From the moment MAX gets a competitive car , the rest of the grid will be demolished...
