Newey isn’t going anywhere. He’s a great fit but not as a TP. He’s an eccentric technical boffin not a schmoozer.

The vibrations are due to where the battery is located. I’m sure they’ll sort it out given time. You have to remember Aston have always been around 6 months behind everyone else due to the gardening leave.

For the immediate future we will just have to enjoy Fernando going from P20 to P10 on the first lap each time then being vibrated out of the race.

Not reading anything beyond it's a young driver's first win and we've got posters trying to infer it has little merit. I really don't care who he was driving for. As usual I find the negative tone of their posts iratating. If it turns out it's MB's year, who's fault is it? In F1 it's always been about the car builders. MAX having huge battle with leader Hassler in 16 Audi just a few feet behind him...as MAX finally gets past him and both dive into the pits!!
Juncadella takes over the driving with MAX giving him some advice of some points on the track as the audi snidely gets back in the lead but not for long as Junca' forces his way past and the Audi now drops back like a stone..

I loved the Kimi win. He seems like a great kid but I still haven't seen enough to say he is better than George.

To your point about merit. My first impression is if a car can break away and put the hybrid system on auto pilot nobody can do anything about it. They can basically use the system to extract best lap time when not having to attack or defend. Luckily we should have plenty of yellow flags this year to bunch cars up.

I also hate engine regulations are locked in for so long. Teams should be able to adapt and change small things like turbo size for example. Word is MB has picked the perfect size turbo, Ferrari's is too small and Audi has the largest on the grid. But I'm no engineer so

Didn't infer Antonelli is better than Russell and don't care if he isn't (Coultard wasn't better than Hakkinen but he did win grand prix's).
Didn't like either ground sucking formulas or the 15 seasons of DRS but I still attended races. If this formula disappoints me, I'll let you know...but with only two races in, I'm not making a decision.

I've long contended that F1 really is not the pinnacle of motorsport in terms of drivers. Most of the drivers, easily more than half the field, are sub-par and should not have seats (guys like Bot, Col, Oco), a few of them 3-5 are decent, and only a rare few (2-3 max, if that) are really talented. If you only ever race in F1 and never branch out to prove you can win when the equipment is neutralized across drivers and teams, then you've only proven you're not that good and don't have the driver skill to win when that is the one key component needed to elevate you to victory.

You didn't, from what I've seen of Kimi so far I don't think he is better than Russell yet....Yet!!!
