Did just this, this morning. Apparently, adding a carbon trunk lid and black grilles transforms a 428i into an M. I really hope he feels slilly when he sees what a real M looks like...

What is the difference at this point between a guy sticking an M badge on his 7 series or 6 series, when BMW is now putting M badges all over msport cars?

To me, BMW has diluted the "M" to where this type of thing shouldn't bother anyone anymore. The only thing I could see getting all up in arms about is if it is literally an "Mx" badge like M3, M4, M5, M6.

More important things to worry about IMO.

There's a guy by me with a real clean Altima done up pretty nice and badged it a skyline. My thought is anybody that thinks it's a skyline doesn't know what a skyline is so why bother. Smh

I for one am not worried about it in the least..

But I will snap a pic if the car is just sitting right there in front of me. ( and post It up here) not gonna go out of my way though..

I just wonder what the owner is thinking.. is he trying to fool the general public or just likes what the ///M or AMG represent

I personally would just de badge before adding something that is reserved for a particular model.

but then again BMW and Mercedes are truly at fault diluting the M and Amg badges.. though for them I get it .. all about that $$$$

and yes.. far more important things to worry about... THESE pics just provide a small laugh

I sincerely hope they aren't adding it to dupe unsuspecting drivers. Most just probably do it because they are fans of M and want to sport it since they enjoy the brand. If these people knew it came across as posing then they might think twice. Most I'm sure just don't know how M owners feel.

If they are truly trying to dupe others though, that is sad

Sometimes people's other car is a true M, other times its for appreciation of the brand, then there are the times where its idiots trying to trick people, but its usually so obvious you just have to laugh at them.

License plate holders are fine on non M cars.

Saw this "E46 M3" today. I think he is missing his rear spoiler, side gills, and quad exhaust but something tells me that's not the only things he is missing.

He was also putting along going 110 Kmh in a 130. I had to hit the brakes pretty hard to even take this picture.

This was the subtle side of the car. The amount of air flow he gets with all those vents shaved seconds off the 1/4 mile.
