I was being sarcastic. Every time BMW comes out with something new, everyone hates it until they love it until the next thing comes then they hate again.
E46 to E90. There was no way the E90 could find it's place especially having to succeed the E46. Until people realized that the E90 was special in it's own way and cemented BMW as the leader in the premium segment. E46 M3 to E9X M3. How could BMW replace that straight-six with a V8? That's absolutely ridiculous. No way the E9X M3 would become anything special when compared to the E46 M3. Up until they realized that the V8 they hated was really something special. Sure BMW has some misses recently (see: F30 3-Series) but the point is, how can you judge something you have no experience with? Maybe the G11 turns out to be a POS. But you can't jump to that conclusion right now. |

Please see attachment for an enhanced version of that spyshot. It should put things into perspective.
I think when we actually see this car in person in the metal our opinions will change about it, because in the picture the car's intended design is at the mercy of varying camera angles and certain 3 dimensional elements we may not be able to see in a picture. When I place this car in front of a fancy hotel it immediately looks the part. Last edited by kv12; 05-11-2015 at 08:04 PM.. |

Interior is really getting stale and clone like across all model lines for me as well. It's time for a new design with interiors to go along with all the great technology. Its nearly impossible to defend BMW against an Audi or Merc anymore.

Don't judge the book by its cover. Soon Hyundai will look just as nice as Mercedes or BMW what will define them is what's underneath and heritage of the brand. Just my two cents

It's the same way with this 7 series, we need to look beyond its cover and look underneath and see the semi carbon fibre chassis and tech to help lower CO2 emissions. Maybe even handle better than others in its class. Let's not forget there is probably a plug in hybrid version of this new 7er as well and it should be very beneficial living in the city. Breathe easier. |

Actually I don't...and the new Lexus design is the ugly Predator grille, that olny looks good when it is blacked out. Design wise, Mercedes is knocking it out of the park, whereas Audi is making base hits, and BMW and Lexus can't seem to find the right roster.

Just so bad. This is the worst 7 Series ever. Really disappointing given its tech and that will at the same time be the first BMW with premium worth interior materials.

I do think that the BMW is starting to look like the Asian brands that were styled to look like the BMW. In short . . . it's just all getting stale. From the F01 to the F10 to the F30, and now again with the Gs. I don't think BMW needs to go Bangle-bold, but they need to get away from this sloooow styling evolution. If you don't want to compare the 7 to the Merc, how about the Tesla? Now there's a beautiful new, modern approach to interior design.
