Oh boy. Aliens has been my favorite movie since I first saw it in theaters. I will argue to the grave with anyone that it is the best sci-fi movie of all time by a mile. However, I don’t think anyone can deny it’s been all downhill for the franchise since then. Will this new one bring back some magic? Hope springs eternal, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

We do see a pulse rifle however.

My favorite films are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

I have been a fan since a child of the books and the movies (although modified from the book) are probably the best adaption of all time.

I collect all the weapons and armor from the films and have an extensive collection of special custom pieces.

Anyone else have LOTR up there at the top?

Absolutely ME!!! Of all the movies I have watched in my lifetime, the LOTR Trilogy is at the top of my list. Are you aware of the upcoming films from the LOTR Universe? Also the amazing series on Amazon.

The memorable quotes from Aliens are basically never ending. It was also a master class in having a diverse cast of actors, including a female hero, without making it looked forced or that an agenda was at play. You believed Vasquez was a badass. You believed Ripley was an absolute unit. Man do I miss 80s action cinema!

I'm with you. Loved the first one (one of my favorites, if not my favorite movie) and I hope this one will be good. Trailer looks good and my fingers are crossed.
