Saving Private Ryan and The Shawshank Redemption falls in that category for me.

Saw Fly Me to The Moon a couple of days ago. I wasn't too interested, but my wife wanted to see it for a date-night, so I was compelled. I usually go in for boy-meets-girl-boy-gets-girl and kills a bunch of bad guys and blows things up type of movies, but like On Golden Pond, I was surprised how much I liked this movie. |

Lowlifes wasn't bad for a thriller.
Daddio for dialogue-filled drama.

Watched Deadpool & Wolverine. Unlike some out there, both characters are just OK for this huge Marvel fan. The movie was entertaining and had quite a few intriguing surprises! 3.5/5

I'm not a huge Deadpool fan, but love what Ryan Reynolds is doing with the character. I saw it with the fam on Tuesday... we all loved it! The staged fight scenes went too long for my taste, and some characters and story arcs were not really fleshed out. Plenty of plot holes, forced scenes, hand waving, but wow... I can't believe how absolutely happy it made me! Produced with a lot love by a bunch of people that were having a great time. The visual and verbal pop cultural references were absolutely non-stop, and can be appreciated by people not deeply versed in MCU and Marvel culture. But it sure helps!

Just watched Axel F, the new beverly hills cops movie. Pretty boring and derivative.
Halfway through the new Bad Boys movie Ride or Die. It is idiotic. I have to finish it, but I'd rather go for a drive, or die |

OK. So it could and should have been much better IMO.
I give it a 2.5 / 5. The first 2 were much better. They're was not enough origins back story as vs it was too slow. At least I have the Season Finale of HOTD to look forward to tonight! |
