Did you take those pics Monday? Jones beach is right by where I live and I went for a quick drive because it was gorgeous and swear I saw you.

I've seen so many Urus in NYC and to me they look so ordinary. Like an Audi with a body kit. I struggle to see how they are interesting, design wise at least.

Other than the drive, which i haven't had the pleasure, I cannot see the appeal to the Urus at all. That front end is heinous.

Times and trends do change my friends. I guess the majority of them who can afford it are now family guys too!

Thanks! It really has a unique style and they are quite rare. The interior is really nice too…You should check out the F98 forum as there is discussion on lowering options and certaiy its possible to get a low down stance. The driving dynamics defy physics and to me this is the spiritual successor to my F80… It looks badass from the rear too which is the angle most will see you as u whip pass them

Probably no point of lamenting over a car I'll never own, but as a car enthusiast it definitely pinches to see the role of sports cars/sport sedans in society diminish for all these somewhat dorky looking and family-oriented CUVs. It doesn't matter how capable or "fun" they may be perceived to be, crossovers will always lack the driving dynamics and sheer sex appeal of a comparable sports car/sedan. My father drives a Macan S in a very showy spec, and while it's pretty damn great to drive and draws attention, it's no Boxster to drive or look at.
CUVs are created to follow trends, I can't think of any that were created out of pure passion. But I get it, crossovers are easy money and any company would be foolish to not enter that space.

These crossovers are meant as daily drivers which are fun as hell but will never replace a true sports car. And the X4MC is badass looking in the metal…Luckily we have Stuttgart and Maranello for the weekend playtime, but u can’t take the gt3 or 458 out everyday, where as the X4MC will drive as fast or faster thru daily traffic and can pull into the mall or grocery store without having to worry. There is a place for each in the stable.

I'm more curious how the V12 is supposed to hold up for actual daily driving, and keeping your SUV on a battery tender at all times is not fun. Amazing that Ferrari hasn't figured out they should offer a lithium battery and charge $4k as an option since idiots will pay it. Antigravity battery is a must with the V12. Mine died even when on the battery tender the full time. Replace with Antigravity and zero issues since.
What's also funny is that Ferrari is going to make all-electric cars, when they can't even get their cars to start up correctly with all of the battery voltage issues. |
