IMO I'm excited for this car and what it represents. Its the first of the G series cars which means it's a preview for what we can expect to see in all future BMWs. What it shows is we can expect a considerable weight reduction, lower center of gravity, and a reduction in unsprung mass...these will all increase performance/ driving dynamics and efficiency. Also the only resemblance to a 5 series I see is the badge, it's clearly going to be an evolution of the current 7 on the exterior. Last edited by cs4444; 04-18-2015 at 10:56 AM.. |

The i8 like key fob looks nice, as well as the digital displays.

I find it annoying that people are hating on this amazing car just for the sake of hating. They can't get it through their heads that some people just don't care about the S-class, and start getting their panties in a twist when someone prefers the 7 over the S. It makes people look even more pathetic when they say I work for BMW because I like the 7 more. Any more cheap comments? Give me a break. Most of the people commenting cannot afford a 7 or S anyway. Besides, you're not some God that everyone has to like what you like and that's why we have choices. K? Good. |

Ummm... you're wrong. It is four-wheel steering. Rear wheels can turn up to 3-degrees. When driving below (I believe) 30mph, the wheels turn opposite the front wheels to, for example, tighten the turning radius. When driving at higher speeds, the wheels turn in tandem with the front wheels to make highway / lane-change maneuvers smoother. Bottom line -- the rear wheels do help steer the car, and this feature was (is) included in IAS.
I speak from experience. I own the car.
