These renders look as if they took the existing F01 and simply squished it down a bit. I'm betting the renders are not even close to how the front and rear facias will appear when this stud bows in 2016.
Having said that, I do agree with previous posters that BMW needs to step it up if they expect to compete with the all-new MB S-Class. I loathe Mercedes interiors (have always preferred BMW's driver-oriented focus and materials / color schemes) but have to say I'm really impressed with the interior of the new 2014 S-Class. The exterior styling is improved over the previous S-Class, but I still prefer the F01 / F02 exterior styling over the MB. I've had my 7-series for two years now and am already planning for his replacement. I really want it to be the G11, but if the design is cocked up, I may have to jump ship. Frontrunners are the next-gen Porsche Panamera or the MB S-Class.

Those renders are hideous not to mention the new S has a waiting list on a non limited car...I dont recalll any 7 ever being hard to get, I only remember them selling way under invoice LOL...They should stick with the original model, make it a sporty alternative to the S...

Totally agree! If it close to the actual look, they have better packed it with TONS and TONS of great technological features and an interior that is more exclusive looking than the F01/02's are now, especially when the 5-series looks so similar already.

BMW have signed off the next Rolls-Royce Phantom to be engineered with an aluminium chassis with Carbon Fibre load bearing section and Carbon Fibre full structure. The next Phantom will be the ultimate expression of a Rolls-Royce as a brand. A synergy of luxury and technology with cutting edge construction and supreme power. The appearance is going to reflect this philosophy identified by its typical RR raked back front overhang and screen. Its the engine that will define the Phantom's status as the ultimate luxury limousine. There will be no downsizing here. The Vision Future Luxury concept is about using shared technology to create something truly individual instead of an extended-extended 7er. Which rival Mercedes-Benz have done with the S-Klasse Maybach which is just an extended S-Klasse.

from the video G11 spied on Autobahn near Stuttgart you can clearly see that the hood is completely different. Look at the reflection of the sky. The middle is lower and the sides are like humps

there is this illustration of E class Coupe, what I saw on paper however looked much better You must bear in mind, that BMW has technically overtaken MB by long in the luxury department; carbon-lightweight will make high level BMW cars much more nimble to drive than MB. |
