It's too much for me personally. Just doesn't work. But an interesting exercise, nonetheless.

Better than some of the other pimp-my-ride style accessories/changes that I have seen, lol. But seriously, this is too much for me. Dual colors are fine in general for this car, but if I have to do it, I would make sure that at least this goofy smiley face at the front of MSport G70s that you see on grey and white cars isn’t there, or at least that the bottom portion of the car is a dark color to avoid that contrast in colors around the kidney. I don’t understand why Mbenz did that way for light color cars with MSport. Same for the rear bumper by the way being half gloss block for MSport for light colors.

That two-tone combination is not befitting the car. I like the Laguna Green Metallic exterior though:

Two-tone paintwork on the M-Sport package probably looks best when the bottom of the car is dark and the top is light.

My guess is AI or an aftermarket upgrade? The leather texture doesn't match the new rear central console top leather. It's a nice good upgrade if it's 3rd party.

My other guess is the an Armored BMW i7 M70 interior with special order request for the armrest? Armored BMWs are special ordered and almost any reasonable request can be accomodated. But this can't be true either because it has the pano roof and normal side window geometry.

Aha! Looks like these central console aftermarket upgrades are very popular in Russia. I've tracked it and found the same for an entire rear-seat package including seats not just the central console. That's pretty neat actually. I am not a fan of any aftermarket modifications, but these are reasonable ones that look factory that I'd have considered it for 500 bucks.

I was wondering if any BMW configurator offers the option of adding such a rear armrest/center console, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I guess you're right!

In previous generations of the 7 Series, there were more configuration options, e.g., for the rear seat. In the G70, they combined everything into one package, and it is not yet possible to add a rear armrest/center console with tables.
Just as it is not possible to add a refrigerator, even though previous generations of 7 had refrigerators. Only the armored G73 version has a refrigerator option.
In my old F01 short version (not F02), I had a refrigerator configured.

They discussed some of these changes during an interview based on the user feedback. For example, regarding rear screens, a common complaint was their software quickly becoming outdated, which led to the integration of built-in services in the rear screen now like YouTube and Netflix, YouTube and others (which I really like as the screen is now timeless software wise). My guess is the same applies to the tables. They were removed due to feedback on lack of use ?. I don't recall ever wanting to eat lunch or work on a laptop sitting searching for a table in the back on a long trip of any of my cars. Screens and massage function? Sure, we always use that on long-trips. Recliners and rear foot recliner, sure, we've used them on almost every 3+ hours trip and u need them (or at least would appreciate them). But never needed (or wanted) tables. Kids don't like them either, and the tables prevent the central console from being folded up, which is a disadvantage. You hardly see tables in SUVs (the vehicles that are actually designed for versatility and trips). I always thought tables are gimmicky.

In the advertisement for the 7 Protection, the passenger in the back seat is sitting with a piece of paper in his hand and marking something with a pen. Without a small table, it is always more difficult

Speaking of the Protection (G70) and Guard (Mbenz W223) variants, for many decades the W223 S-class Guard has been THE gold standard for that use. This is the very first 7-series that gained much more momentum and presence as a presidential car for kings and presidents over the S-class. The last BMW that was able to complete with the S class was probably the E38. I've noticed the G70 in several occasions on the TV/news.

As an example, the german federal police office that manages the fleet for german chancellor and president are now using the 7-series protection over the S-class as the main state vehicle after so many decades of S-class S-Guard for the german head of state and others.

I noticed the same thing for Saudi's fleet and other occasions that I don't recall. It was hard to see any 7-series for that use, but now there is more 7-series than S-class that am seeing for that kind of use on the TV.

I think BMW has really really nailed it with the new 7. Great looking car, presidential yet modern look, and while it is attractive in a young-way, it's also classy enough for such presidential uses. The interesting part is that the Protection variant comes in the M-Sport not the luxury trim.

I completely agree with you. With the previous generation of the 7 Series, i.e., the G12, it was difficult to spot kings or presidents driving them. The 7 Series was only slightly more visible with the F03 (F02) or E67 (E66) generations. And probably most of all with the generation you mentioned, i.e., the E38 Long.

Currently, a large part of the establishment has switched from Mercedes Guard to G73.
