Sweden is charging electric busses with DIESEL generators
Mar 5, 2024 We are constantly being told that we should switch to electric vehicles to reduce climate emissions. In Sweden there is a company called X-trafik that operates busses in the cities of Gävle and Sandviken. They have bought in 52 electric busses from the Chinese company BYD in order to become "environmentally friendly". However, this green shift has caused massive chaos with freezing busses in the ice cold Swedish winter and hundreds of cancellations. Of course, all paid for by the Swedish tax payer. Turns out that the electric busses didn't have enough range and they couldn't charge the busses fast enough, which led to up to 100 busses being cancelled every day, leaving people stranded in the cold Swedish winter. They have now brought in massive diesel generators to be able to charge the electric busses - This of course at an extra cost. Yes, you read that correctly. They cannot charge the new electric busses because there isn't enough energy to go around. This remind me of how they had to use diesel generators to keep wind power turbines in Scotland warm during the winter. Welcome to the Net Zero agenda. |

Warning Truth Bomb.
Electric 18-wheelers are even stupider than electric cars 5 March 2024 “It still boggles my mind,” says Jeffrey Short, Vice President of the American Transport Research Institute. Mr. Short was talking about the findings of a study conducted by ATRI recently, which quantifies how much additional power generation capacity would have to be added to America’s existing electric grid to convert the nation’s entire heavy truck fleet to battery electric vehicles. First, ATRI finds that US nationwide power generation would need to increase 40 per cent over the coming years just to accommodate the additional load placed on the various regional grids to recharge all the new heavy truck batteries. Where will all the new power generation, and all the new supplies of critical minerals needed to make it reality, come from? ATRI estimates that converting the heavy truck fleet will require the US to somehow source a volume of lithium alone that equates to 35 years of current global production of that key mineral. Expanding the grid and making all the millions of heavy new truck batteries will also require massive new resources of copper, cobalt, graphite, antimony, and an array of rare earth minerals not currently in widespread production within US borders. Currently, a brand new diesel-powered 18-wheeler is priced at between $150,000 - $180,000, but ATRI says a new electric model goes for almost triple that, at between $400,00 - $500,000. Then there’s the weight factor. Currently, a new 18-wheeler with an internal combustion engine averages a little more than 18,000 pounds. New battery electric trucks average 32,000 lbs, give or take. How much more of a load will we force our future generations to bear before someone in a position of authority has the good sense to demand an accounting and reconsideration of this headlong rush into a green debtor’s prison? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/comme...sport-freight/ Answer a lot more good sense than is occupying the government of almost every civilized country right now. I Would Rather Be Governed By the First 2,000 People in the Telephone Directory than by the Harvard University Faculty William F. Buckley Jr. |

In a win for the automotive specialty-equipment industry, the Connecticut legislature has shelved plans to adopt California's ban on the sale of new gasoline-powered vehicles by 2035. This decision comes amid concerns about the feasibility of such a drastic transition, particularly regarding the readiness of the state's electric grid and charging infrastructure. |

New bill outlines a longer path to zero-emission vehicle rules in CT March 8, 2024 Unwilling or unable to implement clean-air regulations committing Connecticut to zero-emission vehicles by 2035, legislators are regrouping with a proposal mandating the administration of Gov. Ned Lamont find a new path forward. A bill filed this week would require the administration to deliver by Nov. 15 a “Zero-Emission Vehicle Roadmap,” and it would create a 40-member Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Coordinating Council to assess the road ahead. https://www.wshu.org/connecticut-new...-ct-ned-lamont Greenies are like Vampires, there is only one way to permanently get rid of them. |

In 2021 the Dixie fire in California burned 963,309 acres at a cost of $1.15 billion. In just 24 hours it put out more emissions than all the vehicles in California do in a full year. That year there was 8,835 wild fires for over 2.5 million acres burned in California. Seems like California should start there. Just sayin.

Yes we have entering into time when the media will report the "official narrative" and not report the truth. There is no problem with the COVID vaccine, the Russians are losing the war, EV battery fires don't happen what ever our masters want us to know.

I hesitate to add to the demagoguery, but I’m surprised no one has mentioned Angela Chao yet.

Came across a YT video by a UK based owner of a Porsche Taycan who wants to get back into a ICE Porsche. But he is finding the trade in value of his Taycan is $0 (well, make that £0). Dealer doesn't want the car. Claims it has a number of the same model year in stock and the newer Taycan outshines the older model and there is no demand for the older but still new Taycan. The Taycan owner contacted a number of businesses to get a quote for selling his car and the best offer was just about 1/2 of what he paid for the car (about £120K). A search of YT turned up a number of videos of US YTers that report the same thing here in the US. Doesn't give me any joy in knowing this. I had considered a Taycan for the EV experience. |

Audi sold the 5000 to upscale college educated (egg heads) They couldn't tell a brake pedal from the gas pedal and thus you had "Sudden unintended acceleration" or as I like to say, too stupid to drive. As for the EV's well lets just say that for the most part these are not car people and would be better served with public transportation. Present company exempted. |

Chyna building coal fired plants literally as fast as they can with their usual stellar regard for the environment to power all the EV's they are building rendering all other countries efforts at pollution control irrelevant ++. All the EV's in Chyna have the effective fuel efficiency of a coal power plant minus transmission loss to the EV. Hilarious Green Insanity. And they are attempting to dump production into Europe destroying the Euro legacy automakers. LOL.

So if a ship carrying about 2,200 tons of fuel and 2,200 tons of oil carrying 4,000 vehicles, burns for days and sinks into the archipelago that is home to coral reefs, tuna, sharks and dolphins is that bad for the environment? Just asking for a friend?

The UK YTer had planned on trading in the Taycan for an ICE Porsche at the Porsche dealer and having what he still owed for the Taycan rolled into purchase of the ICE Porsche. But that fell through when he learned the Porsche dealer didn't want the Taycan as a trade in. |

There's a chap called MacMaster who does regular videos on his own Taycan EV calling out the problems it has had and the money he's lost on it in the short period of time owning it. |
