BTW, we have a new sickness called Fleaborne typhus, close by (in L.A. county... so far). It's related to fleas that can get on our cats. I use Frontline for fleas so my cat has none. Also she is a totally inside cat, though there still is a chance she can get them from us going in and out and bringing them in. Nothing is 100% in my book. This is important to me because I see this beautiful black cat when I take my nightly walks that is very friendly and lets me pet him. I really like this cat and when I get to interact with him it makes my night. Guess I'll have to keep my hands to myself from now on. lol

We’ve got family round for homemade pizza tonight, and I’m rather excited. I made a sourdough starter about 10 days ago, and have been feeding it daily, so the day has finally come.
Yesterday, I made the dough, needed it by hand then let it prove overnight. I’ve just knocked it back and divided into equal balls, where they’ll sit in the fridge until mid afternoon. I’ll get them up to room temperature for about an hour, then it’s all systems go. All of the toppings are from an Italian deli in town, the cheese is a Fior di Latte (Napoli cut), which shouldn’t leak a load of water out when cooking, I’ve got thick cut pepperoni, cubed pancetta and authentic Italian sausage. There shall be photos…… |
