It is not hard to dispose of a body in a large state park. So much space. Animals will eat the remains quickly. Assuming it happened there they may never find the body.

Perhaps they had a fight near a cliff and he accidently pushed her off?

I really want to know what the text message said
IIRC the authorities can find out which tower that text was sent through. Imagine if it was say Birmingham Alabama.

This is what Im leaning towards. He's obviously not talking by the advice of legal counsel. There is a reason for that. Could be because he's guilty but could very well be because there is much more to this story, yet to unfold.

THe double murder in the area REALLY muddles things. Like man.

He either killed 3 people or was almost killed himself I suspect.

Not an attorney and following, but from what I gather; yes, police can use cell-site location information to track. However, a warrant is required. To get a warrant, they must be able to prove that a crime has occurred. In order for authorities to determine a crime has been committed, evidence is needed. Until then, this is basically a really sideways missing persons case......that we all undoubtedly call bullshit on.

The double murder did not occur at the restaurant (market).

The campers were found dead in a creek near their campsite in La Sal Mountains (South Mesa Area).

So the two campers were last seen at Woody’s (bar in Moab) between 9 and 9:30 p.m. on August 13.

Found dead on August 18.

According to the timeline provided earlier, this is roughly the same time that the subjects of this thread are in town. I doubt they were involved in the murders of the campers but the girl could possibly have fallen victim to person who killed them. A serial killer could be on the loose.

One of the campers actually worked at the market, for the record. Not being a dick just sharing facts that Ive found. Im not sure that this person was working when the arguing incident occurred but could have been.

The serial killer thing doesn't make sense to me. It's too much of a coincidence that Laundrie left her there, drove 3k miles home, and isn't talking.

Like, what are the odds of that?

This is wild. Imagine Laundry killed her and those two campers saw it, he panicked and they became collateral damage. Sorry but you drive home 2-3k miles w/o your fiancée and refuse to talk to authorities and pull this I plead the 5th? Guilty but its not what you know, it’s what you can prove and w/o a body or bodies, it’s going to be interesting how this turns out.

Edit: This reminds me of Natalee Holloway and her body was never found and it’s been a little over 16 years.

Actually there's a company which can obtain public data and then forward that information onto the police/FBI. The WSJ just wrote an article about them this week. The topic was how LEOs can get around having to obtain a warrant.
