I've always lusted after Ducatis; so much the better if it's built as a café racer. As we know from our choices in automobiles, art in motion has a lot to be said for it.

I think I've mentioned before here that my first bike was an early-60s 125cc Ducati Bronco. It was a totally pedestrian bike, and while it had a number of engineered-in issues, it was still a lot of fun for a 17-year old's first bike.

Was never a fan of those V twins, if you had a spill it looked like the break down van for the damage to the engine.

My last bike was a 1979 Honda CX500 V-twin and I know just what you mean. Fortunately I never had a spill!

It was -- sort of a Japanese BMWish bike. I don't have a photo of mine on the computer but here's a generic photo. I rather liked it.

Shaft drives were popular with the city bike couriers when I worked in the city, in particular the Kawasaki 550GT's which are almost bullet proof in reliability.

Totally agree!...Although I'm a hardcore BMW girl, Ducati and Guzzi are 2 and 3 on my fan list.
