Some firsts and lasts with the pictured white car.
First year (of 3) for the optional tinted green acrylic glass panel over the front seat. Can you name what the option was called? The name ended up being used for 3 more model years...but for a different feature/option.
First year for the ohv V8.
Last year of 3 for the body style.
Last year for the car's model name...it was only used for 3 model years and was never to appear again.
Added points for naming the other two cars...and where this photo was taken.

I can answer the basics. It's a '54 Ford Crestline. They only made the Crestline for 3 years and then the Ford switch to i think the Fairline as their top model. I remember seeing the roof option shown in the photo but I cannot remember what it was called. I remember it well because we had a man in the neighborhood next to ours who had one. I would see it when I was in, wait for it, Kindergarten! Hopefully, someone else can answer the other questions. That's all I've got.

Jaguar in the background. Oil leak gave it away. 🤣

As was correctly answered, it's a '54 Ford Crestline...and pictured with a Jaguar XK140. The other car is an Aston Martin DB3S with Carroll Shelby at the wheel. Location is Sebring Florida.
The glass roof option was named Skyliner. In the next two model years it was an option for the Crown Victoria which was an option of Fairlanes. By 1957 the Skyliner option referred to the incredibly complicated hardtop/convertible which disappeared after the '59 model year.
My Dad sold Fords in the early to mid '50's. One of my favorite childhood memories was him taking me to work and seeing the Skyliner sitting in the middle of the showroom.

I looked it up after I posted to get the details. What a great era for being a kid. Every September/October they would unveil the new model year. I was lucky because my dad was into cars and he would talk about them, so I started caring about cars early on. I wasn't really into Fords since my dad was a GM fan....until, the parents of Nancy, a girl I liked, bought a '57 Ford Convertible with red and white interior. It had a speaker in the top of the middle back seat. I thought that feature was so cool. He took us ride and I got to sit right next to Nancy in the back seat. Top down, radio blasting, wind blowing in our hair, and most importantly, Nancy by my side. A special moment for me. I was 8!! I liked Fords too from that moment on. Here's a photo I found of that same interior as I remember it.

The fact that your dad sold cars must of made it extra special for you.

We're the same age and I echo your thoughts...a great era for being a kid and the yearly new car intros were particularly special.

It was. Back when you could actually see the engine.

My only other guess without cheating is a '57 or a '55.

My dad had a '55 Buick convertible two tone red and white. He only owned it for a couple of months, at which time he got a company car and then sold the beautiful Buick. The company car was a friggin' '55 Plymouth. He definitely traded down.

1955's...Correct.
Yeah, a '55 Plymouth is without a doubt a step down.

Sadly, I don't have a photo of that beautiful Buick, but here is a photo of the pitiful Plymouth.

Here's a new question: What is that car next to the Plymouth?

Note: The mud in the photo is from a horrible rainstorm that had washed mud down from the hills above our house. It was a real mess. We lost some houses up the street but somehow ours survived. It's still there.

That Plymouth has "sad company car" written all over it.
Well, with the telltale "Silver Streak" it's a Pontiac from the late '30's. I'll guess '37.

It did, didn't it! It was actually a good thing. My dad hated that Plymouth so much. As soon as he could afford to do so, he started buying "proper" automobiles again. Over the next few years, through my growing up time, he brought home a variety of beautiful GM products. I always thought to myself, "You go dad". It took him years and several car purchases to get that pitiful Plymouth off his mind. Those were the days.

You are correct on the other car. It's, in fact, a 1937 Pontiac Silver Streak. By the time we got it, it was 18 years old. It was a hand-me-down from my grandparents for my mom. That was the start of the 2 car family era I suppose. We called it Nellybelle. Here are images from the 1937 Pontiac brochure. It looked pretty good in orange. Notice the suicide doors.

At least your Dad's Plymouth had the optional V8 (signified by the V on the trunk).
Without the silver streak on the trunk lid I wouldn't be able to know what it was (other than being GM) and getting the year was pure luck.
My edge in this game comes from more than 60 years of attending the AACA's Eastern Fall Meet...better known as simply Hershey. It's an amazing gathering. Here's a photo from '75.

My friend Lee had one. I had a '61 VW. Mine always ran. He was always fixing his '57 Volvo. It was a great car when he had it running.
