I met Patrick Snijers and Guy Colsoul in the Haspengouw rally ..
These guys are really sympathetic to talk with ..

As a kid I still remember the Belgian drivers , Guy Colsoul in his white and yellow Opel Manta 400.
And Patrick Snijers in his crazy rocking Bastos ///M3 .

These memories are ...Lost in time !

Verstappen did not crack under massive all-or-nothing pressure. With skill and guts - no crash. After the race Verstappen pointed out that he had driven the final lap with a very painful cramp torturing one of his legs.

MAX pulled 8 races with his HONDA PU !

8 races with a Mercedes PU ? ..The thing in Warp-Speed would blow like a grenade !

Nice hostage video. What an insufferable, victimized tone and demeanor.

Since it turns out there were no boundaries between he and Mikey, this boss should have pitted HAM and told Mikey, "now Mikey, you must not finish this race under safety car... We must race to the end fair and square. This WDC can't end under safety car and you know it. Red flag or do what you have to do. We all agreed on this before the race."

And that would have been immensely persuasive. Not necessary since that's what Masi was going to do anyways, but a strong and effective appeal when it mattered.

But no. He wanted Mikey to cover his ass and pit strategy with lapped fricking cars. Decided he liked that unexpected race development, whined about losing it like that's what they banked on all along. Ridiculous.

No sympathy for Toto. Think it's shameful that he's effectively ginning up more acrimony against the race director. While offering zero accountability or discussion of his decisions.

HAM deserved more from both team principal and teammate in this race.

These days ..What the hell is going on in F1 ?

Ickx : From what I see It's like a Boxing Match .

But more like : How hard may I hit you ?
And personal I think by this ,Ickx completely nailed it !

Yeah the Belgian FN in Herstal. Let's say the FN fireworks are no joke !
Back in time ,I fired more than once with the FAL in a special defence training ...

Bottas

Bottas will be sacrificed one last time by Mercedes at the Gala.

Rest of Merc will not attend any press discussions.

Pure class.

I expect Bottas may have more fun at this Gala than the previous 5 without Hammy and Toto.

Never trust anyone in a black turtleneck.

It creates a sense of importance around while creating an anti-establishment message.

Stark contrast to stoic Niki Lauda.

My friend, do not give one inch of sympathy to Wolff you know it's crocodile tears and keep in mind the celebrating from him while Max was lying on stretcher at hospital.
Never forget.

Bottas would care less, and enjoy himself and get drunk.
(will we see Kimi being drunk also? )

My god, such a baby. Not that it matters to anyone but I've lost so much respect for Toto. He's unprofessional during races, and this is just the icing on the cake.

All this whining over 'it's not fair' is nonsense.

Life's not fair. Luck plays a part.

It wasn't fair that Max's tire blew while leading in Baku. No whining from Max.
It wasn't fair that Valteri (Lewis' teammate) went bowling for F1 cars in turn 1 in Hungary. No whining from Max.

It doesn't matter that Lewis had the field covered until the end. The race is until the checkered flag, not 'but he was leading and had the dominant car'.

Was Max lucky? Hell yes. He admits it, Horner admits it. Only the LH fan club can't understand that luck plays a part in motor racing.

Luck plays a part in sports, but luck doesn't have anything to do with corruption.

1. In Baku, lets pretend a FIA official sabotaged Max's tire to fail? Is that still just bad luck for Max?

2. Instead of Bottas making a mistake, imagine if a FIA official paid Bottas to create an accident in Hungary. That's still something you would consider bad luck for Max?

3. Lewis had the field covered until a corrupt official decided to change rules on the fly in a way that has never been done in the history of the sport in order to intentionally provide a massive advantage to his championship rival. That's not bad luck.

Again, luck definitely has a role in sports, but corruption has no place in sports and has to be eradicated when discovered.

I'd say that is all true except what happened was anything but luck. Everyone would be fine not losing for ANY of those reasons, it happens you deal with it as a F1 or any sports fan.

Masi doing what he did wasn't luck, THAT is the difference, its was a factor outside of luck and thus why the team and many fans and F1 drivers found the last few laps was outside of the rules.

Don't forget Hamilton also enjoyed some of the luck earlier this season as well.
On the other hand, many drivers were a victim of FIA's inconsistency and cockups. (e.g. IMO, Vettel in Canada 2019, and everyone in Spa 2021!)

Anyhow, just like any sport, not just F1. Luck also plays into the factor.
I'm not defending FIA, they should clean up their rulebook, grow a spine to enforce entirely and consistently. Hope their investigation into the matter helps during the winter break.

Merc (especially Toto), enough playing victim and get over it. It is painful, but its also how sports goes.

The governing body was applying contradicting rules and not applying/enforcing entirely and consistently becomes a draw/raffle/luck. It sucks, but it also happens in other sports (football-or soccer called here in North America) as well.

Going back to Jackie Icyx and what a class act he is...He was in contention to win the 1970 WDC. All the talk at Watkins Glen USGP was about the possibility. He came in 4th...ruining his chance. Interviewed, he said he would not have felt right winning over an opponent that could not defend his position. Jochen Rindt became the 1970 WDC...posthumously.
