I've always found radio controlled planes super cool. Nice purchase!

No monthly fees!

Thinking about eventually getting their home security system as well.

iPhone 15 pro max, I gotta say this one feels incredible in the hand. The slightly rounded edges and natural titanium is amazing.

I love Apple phones. I have an 11 Pro max. I can't see any benefit in the 15 to ME. Yeah stable video camera (d not care), esim (might care once a year).

Can't justify spending $1500 on a new phone until there is a feature that matters.

Is that what they cost? Wow, that's a lot of money for a phone.

I exaggerated. I just did a buy one now online and the one I'd want is only $1399.

Well, a hundred dollars less, then. That's okay.

Apple heard you say that, and is killing your battery as I type...

In all fairness, the phone function is really secondary. It's really a very portable computer.

You're right. And I was kidding. Trying to make it sound more expensive than it's worth.

All Apple products are expensive. My wife just bought me a new MacBook Pro 14 (early xmas gift). Their stuff is overpriced but worth it IMO. I've had a Mac since the beginning, and before that Apple II computers.

PS - the sound system in my new MBP is awesome. Compared to my old Mac and for a laptop, damn good.

Typing this on a new Macbook Pro 16. Yup. over priced. But I NEVER regret having them once I've paid. Pay once cry once.

Wifey's 3rd Dell in 5 years is acting out again. My 12-year-old MBP still runs flawlessly. Of course half the problem with the Dell is the shitty Windoze OS. It gets worse every year.

Nice!

Does that have the M2 Max chip? Mine has the M2 Pro chip. I got 16 GB of memory. If I would've got more memory it would've been upgraded to the M2 Max.

I got what I wanted: 16 GB of unified memory and 512 GB of SSD storage. More than I'll ever use (he says that now ).

PS - what do you think of the sound? Is it just me or is it pretty damn good?

I bought the MBP 14 with the M1 chip and 16GB to replace my mid-2012 MBP. I was absolutely blown away by the improvement in the sound!

No I got the M2 Pro. Which is way more processing than I will ever need unless some new computing application is invented. Biggest difference I see between this and my 27" desktop based on an old Intel chip is opening programs. Say I open the music app. I have over 32,000 songs and videos. My desktop takes almost a minute to open. Laptop? Done.

And I can not believe the sound out of this little thing. I still use my desktop and external speakers here at the house to jam along with for volume (bass guitar can not be played at really low volume - well can but I won't) but I know when I travel I will be quite happy with the sound in my hotel room.
