Looking for a preowned Cameron Deep Sea. Anyone have one they are looking to part with?

Saw an article about luxury watches taking a hit this upcoming year. If possible to buy at/below MSRP would be nice if new.

My wife got "the call" today. A brand-new 126900 Air King with my name on it is being held at my AD.

My wife was going to surprise me for my birthday, but the AD texted me instead by accident.

We're in Costa Rica, but she's going to go pick it up on Friday.

Now, I need to get a strap made for it as I'm not a bracelet fan.

Any suggestions on a good strap maker? (I have the Everest Nylon on my Sub, but they only make rubber ones for the Air King).

Congrats! I can tell you what won't work, and that's a crown and buckle supreme 1 piece nato. The space between the case and the pin is extremely thin and I couldn't get the strap through without bending the pin. I didn't bust out the seamstress ruler but space is very limited, maybe 1mm. It kind of relegates you to a cheap, thin Amazon strap. The bracelet is very nice, if it's any consolation and you end up like me, unable to find a strap you can make work.

3 years?!?! If it was a Daytona I would say OK but damn!

I already have a BLNR (Batman) but I bought it on secondary market for over MSRP but still got a good deal in my opinion.

Lots of nice watches, eventually need cleaning.

A cautionary tale: Had my dad's '64 (or so) Pepsi GMT approaching 50 yr life cycle, opted for preemptive Factory care in Dallas. Took watch to BB jeweler in Scottsdale for ship out. weeks go by, no estimate from Dallas. Called BB jeweler, they can't find watch, Rolex.. never got it. likely pilfered from Jeweler. Jeweler offers 'same year, same model..' yeah, well it was my DAD's watch. (I still have the timing document)

Settled with new GMT. Hard to let your treasures out of sight, even 'reputable' jewelers can have shady staff. Yeah, I have a Rolex.. still miss 'that Rolex'...

I have seen many of the blue/black Bat ones at dealers, but only as displays. Got to try on my Cameron Deep Sea at a Duty Free overseas, but they would not sell it.

Are you putting a deposit down and waiting or is your local dealer calling you off their wait list?
