Today I've been at the BMW dealer and asked about changing the standard predefined height to a lower/higher value, their reply was that officially it cannot be done, but unofficially they've showed me on another 7 seven series how trick the system to do it.
You have to run the height sensor calibration and carry out the standard procedure but when inputting the measurements you add/substract to these the amount of milimeters you want to lower/raise the car. Say you want to increase the standard height of the rear axle by 10mm, so if the rear left wheel measure is 657mm and rear right wheel measure is 652mm you substract 10mm from these and input into the calibration 647mm & 642mm. This will "trick" the sensors to be believe the car is lower and will raise it :smile I haven't tried it yet though I have the latest ISTA+ and have carried out a height sensor calibration in my M760 which effectively corrects uneven heights between corners. The method described and shown to me by the dealer using the same ISTA+ on a 2017 G11 worked very well and I'll try it out soon on my car

Ghost links come set to factory height. Comes with easy instructions on how to adjust. If you request, they will pre-adjust links but you will have to fine tune once installed. 👌

Those who did this themselves how did you get the stock links off? I am having a hard time getting my hand back there and was curious if you took the wheels off? Or lifted the car?

Most of these lowered cars look horrible. I can't for the life of me understand why people take a nice car and slam it like it's a low-rider or Civic. This isn't 1995.....most cars, especially the 7's.....do not come with huge gaps in the wheel wells. Just a really bad look. If anything, it looks like the Benz's with the ABC Suspensions that failed a lot back in the 2000's.....it would totally sink the car down.

That's my point.....you can adjust the suspension to a good gap by changing to sport. Sure, comfort might look a little better lowered....but that will lower it in Sport, too, correct? The Sport setting is too low then. Guess it depends how you drive the car.....I am not saying all lowering looks bad....but a lot of the pics on this thread don't look good lowered. Just my 0.02.

The car can also be remotely lowerd if someone needs. Just laptop with internet and enet cable needed. In this way you keep 100% Original links in case od warranty claims.

Three options... from $ to $$$ ISTA+ - Lower it through programming. You can do it yourself with the software and knowledge or hire mrgicm and he can do it remotely for you and can adjust heights as needed. Cheapest option. Ghost Links - Replace existing links with aftermarket and you can adjust your heights with the links. Website is https://www.ghostmotorsports.com/ghost-links Lowering module - plug and play adapter. There are a few on the market and ship from Europe mostly. This is the more expensive option but has the most features. Website is - http://loweringmodule.com/cargraphic...resent-g11-12/
