Basically stuck around much longer than I should have (was together for 3.5 years or so). Spent so much time, effort, and money. I chalk it up as lesson learned and grew a lot from it.

You know how when things are going amazingly well you think it would never end? Like if it keeps up this could be the one. Probably was about 6 months in IIRC.

Even after things started to unravel I fooled myself into thinking that we could fix things and it'll all be okay. But like a muscle, once ripped it is more susceptible to injuries. Don't wanna go into all the details but in the end it taught me a lot.

You know, at a not closer specified age, for me a real good relationship isnt any longer the points of matching at start, but the sum of reasons not to get bothered.

Sounds like a spinning image of my situation. It's definitely a learning experience and if nothing else just that one time makes you notice all the things you are willing to accept and those you that ultimately make you decide not to pursue things further.

It's actually kind of revitalizing. Once out it's like a whole new world.

Well maybe if SOMEBODY didn't say it would be there for life on the inter web, he wouldn't have panicked and hit the self destruct button !!!

With that said, shame he couldn't be that hasty to self destruct that unhealthy relationship...

Agreed. It was eye opening for sure. I think both of us learned from it.
