No, you're not crazy at all . Had I still owned my 116519 gray dial Daytona and Platinum Ice Blue Dial I would keep them but I would definitely trade my 116500 LN 002 Black dial for it .

Agree. I picked up my Sea-Dweller about 10 years ago and my GMT Master II shortly thereafter. I'm glad I'm not in the market in the current environment. Crazy times.

I put my 2 Rolex ADs on notice that I would LOVE to get the 2-tone black/gray GMT
these are the two that I have purchase history with

let's see how long it takes before that happens
First place has seen ONE black/gray GMT come through. the second place has not seen one yet

and as we say this, my AD called me today, they are offering me a rose gold with black dial and diamond marker, as well as a gold, black dial gold sub dials on oysterflex (modern Paul Newman)

I also have a batgirl, a Hulk, and a Rhodium 40mm Yachtmaster.

Wedding present. Still waiting on my Pepsi, but he came thru with this hold me over. This is wildly different than my Kermit. I wanted to hate the Starbucks, but it hasn’t left my wrist since purchase. It’s so good.

I have an opportunity to buy a 41mm Dj... blue dial, fluted on jubilee... from AD at retail price... would you guys do it? I have a sub date and would get it as a 2nd piece... but don't want the market to take a nose dive then have these available for 5k all over used.... things are somewhat heading in that direction.

If you’re not planning on selling then it doesn’t matter. If you do, then I don’t know. Hard to say if the market will actually dip below MSRP.

Thats like asking if the stocks are going to go up or down. If you are planning to buy a watch it should just be for your own personal satisfaction. I understand the 'asset' piece and wanting to holding value. If you want it, buy it and enjoy it. It will always be worth something.

Yes, but I am also on the list for a GMT master which is becoming more and more realistic within a few months... and that's definitely the preference. This one I like a lot but in the end it would just be a trade for the other eventually.

I guess hold out for the one you want then. Not sure how you are saying a GMT is more realistic in a few months? I have been waiting close to 2 years for one now, LOL I have a batman but wanted another one. I have an odd feeling they will be discontinuing the batman in the future.
