Yeah that's the CLS63 with AWD and the 5.5L biturbo.
The W205 will have an A-wing front splitter, like the W212 E63 and the new S63 coupe.

The AMG doesn't seem to be any wider then the normal C-Class. I wonder how that'll have an affect on handling.

You're right. It doesn't appear to be wider, but it has to, doesn't it? Otherwise they're gonna run into serious traction problems. The car we've seen doesn't look like it will be able support the hp it will be outputting.

Furthermore, it will weigh 220+ lbs less than the W204. Every test mule has been seen with at least 265-section tires in the rear (slightly wider than the W204's 255-section standard rears).

It's also getting a significantly more modern suspension than the W204. And the LCI W204's suspension was no slouch.

It'll be able to handle the power, but it'll still have the trait of wanting to hang its tail out that's characteristic of AMG.

These seats better be standard.
Because the other spy pics showed some boring seats with separated headrests. Last edited by hellrotm; 09-12-2014 at 07:41 PM.. |

Either way, it's nice to have a choice! Those Recaro seats look amazing!

LOL. I find this hard to believe.
Let's look at the facts thus far. C&D did the VIR lightning lap, the C63 Black Series which had 510 hp and weighed over 4000 lbs was nearly 3 seconds faster on a 3 minute lap than the current M4...and the kicker, the M4s 3:00.7 was done on a freshy paved track which accounts for a good 2-4 seconds of that time. So essentially the M4 time would have likely been more in the 3:02.7-3:04.7 range showing how far behind it is compared to mercedes prior gen car. Even the E63 was faster than the m4 and every other M car on the market and that car is massive. I am willing to bet the new c63 is going to be better in a lot of regards than the M3. Merc at their best these days is simply better than BMW at its best. |

The new C is very handsome inside and out. The quality of materials used on the interior simply put, blows anything BMW has out of the water. Makes the 3 series feel like a Toyota interior. Very nice job by Mercedes. |
