This is also not 8k. Idk why they list it as such. It's 2160p which is 4k

New 7
I have had 30 plus BMWs, over 26 years, including a 7 series.
The new 7 is a tech fest, it exterior is a matter of taste, it's interior is magnificent. I have to worry the way the design has gone, the actual car will look great in the flesh! But this design seems just too now, no tradition, no design flow. Lexus but with a BMW badge, sure dynamics will be better but it's just another modern design trend. I hope this will work, I never driven any other car since I was 26, if I start questioning my further BMW purchases, other will too. It's a crossroads for BMW, I hope it works |

BMW have lost my interest at this point. Sadly, the older 7 series looks better IMO. Same for the X7. That front end is horrible. The rear is okay. Interior is nice but not nice enough to overlook that front end. What's with the large 7 and then small 60i next to it? Why can't it be even size 760i?

Interior looks cool. I really dont understand the issue car manufacturers have with making electric vehicles look good. Is there really that much different they cant just make it look like a normal vehicle? This thing is....I don't know what I think of it....but I guess my Tesla stock will continue to go up.

I believe any form of good design should include bit of elegance, brand specific signature cue lines, and overall harmony of all that can age gracefully. But this... tech here and there, new signature lines here and there, proportions of the future (I hope not) and model designation crown everywhere. Perhaps BMW is pitching to total different people now, and I'm sure their marketing/R&D team did ton of work and found a new potential in this "new" market where this type of approach apparently works.

Because you don't see any "design elements" in black.

Tough to "hit it out of the park" with the weight of a fat pig 🐷. More like time for the slaughter house. The i7 US curb weight is 5,917 lbs!! Anchor away:

The interior is incredible and BMW did a great job with it. It will stand out among other competitors, especially the non-legacy automakers who will likely not have a comparable quality of an interior like this 7 series. The amount of tech loaded in this car is staggering.
As for the exterior, I am honestly ok with most of the design elements, even the grill. I am glad there is a more traditional Hofmeister kink. The way the front of the car curves reminds me of the E85 Z4, sort of like a hammerhead profile, which I like. But I just cannot get myself to accept the split headlights design language. I cannot help but think of the Jeep Cherokee and various Hyundai products. The only fix would be to cover the headlights in a body colour panel and never use them Given everything, the new 7 looks relatively attractive compared to the EQS, which I cannot like. Sure, the E38 BMW 7 series and others are timeless in design and will still look beautiful 20 years from now. But since companies now have to embrace edgy and controversial designs to adapt to changing consumer demands, I feel like this 7 will be a very successful vehicle. The problem isn't a big grill, It's the way it's executed. Every car company is making big grills, with bmw having the worst implementation of the trend, which is progressively getting worse from generation to generation. The E38 was gorgeous, it's been downhill since then. Case in point : |

Is this accurate? Maybe it's 4k in the preproduction unit but going to be 8k in delivery vehicles?
