CPO purchase - Start/Stop button replacement?

Hi all,

I picked up a CPO 2016 750i X-drive yesterday. It's a well optioned, Magellan Gray/Black, high mileage lease return that really does not show it's age. CPO unlimited mileage coverage until 8/2021. The only thing that is bugging me is the peeling silver on the Start/Stop button. OK, one other thing bugs me about it...the 19" wheels look too small. I like the style of the wheel, so I'm going to try to live with them for now.

The Question: Can you get a replacement button that matches the silver Start/Stop Engine button or do you have to buy the whole switch to get an OE looking button. The switch, while not expensive at approx $110. I can find Red, Blue or Black aftermarket replacement buttons for $10 plus the time saving to replace vs doing the entire switch assembly.

Get it replaced under warranty. It's covered.

You're right on the 19s. It's too small for this big body. I upgraded to OEM 20s. Definitely makes a difference. Also wider wheels.

Thank you. I will ask about the warranty on the peeling button. I'm not sure because I am under the CPO as this car is over 50K miles not the original Bumper to Bumper 4/50 warranty.

What 20" did you go with? OE or aftermarket? I know the OE fitments for 20" but I do not know what wider wheels/offsets or larger tires can work without rubbing. It needs a real tire too, these Pirelli RFTs will be fine for the daily commute but she's a big girl and could use some PS4s or similar for those twists in the road.

I've been trying to post a photo but keeps failing. I went with OE wheels

I can't post a picture but here is the link. It definitely transforms the look of the car from the 19s. I would like to get alpina style wheels.

Talk to Vibe or a wheel manufacturer. Too many aftermarket 7 wheel options that are out there.
