Trickle Charger?

Can I use my old Deltran Battery Tender on the 2016 G11 or do I need something with newer tech?

We dont' have enough info about your "old" Deltran battery Tender. Do yo have a model number etc? How old is it? Does it have alligator clips or do you have to plug it into a 12 volt socket?

I would look for the instructions that came with it or google the brand/model for an instruction or owners manual (PDF).

Depending on how many and type of battery/batteries you have...it could depend. Does it have the capability to charge AGM & Lithium batteries? Again, depending on what or which type you have...and what is the tender's specs...1.5A or 4 amps? And does it have the capability to "float" (aka stop charging when the battery is fully charged)?

I have the Deltran Battery Tender Plus that is the same model that BMW used to sell branded as a BMW part. While the current product using this name can charge AGM, I think mine is so old that it is not designed for AGM, so I will get a newer Deltran or CTEK device.
