I'd want that entire list of features crammed in to an M3... including that V8

The dude has enough coin to have a sexy ocean-front Euro crib. He's gotta get the old lady out of the house so he can pick up his lit 22 year-old Russian hottie in his f-car, so he pulls some shit with that B7. Soo clooney.

I think the G11 is the best looking 7 since the E38.
The B7 continues this trend - with great performance as well, finally an Alpina worth considering. Excellent work!

Uh ... seriously? Have you ever driven any Alpina? Even just ridden in one?
This model is the most current version of what Alpina has been doing for fifty years: taking an excellent, capable platform and re-engineering the hardware for performance that is overall comparable to M, and sometimes better. And this while upgrading the aesthetics and style for high-end luxury. It is quite a potent combination and product. It'll list in the area of $150k. |

Saw the same thing this morning too!
http://www.canadianautoreview.ca/new...alpina-b7.html Got tripped out by this one picture: Thought it was some kind of keyhole in the steering wheel... turns out to be a "minus" sign on the left paddle shifter |

Can one get the Alpina engine and the technology, but without all the Alpina sings? I really dislike it. Put a M package on it, with 20" M rims and this engine and the technology and perfect.

In essence, the main difference between an M and ALPINA is the delivery of power as well as aesthetics. All M cars use DCT while all ALPINA cars use a reinforced ZF 8 speed auto. M cars are more track focused, loud and look more aggressive. ALPINA cars are more refined, understated and exclusive. Those boring looking aerokits are wind tunnel tested enabling ALPINA cars to have a higher top speed than the equivalent Ms (an ALPINA B3 can hit 305kmh). Their philosophy is form follows function, so that 'boring' 20 spoke wheel design which they still use after 50 years, is actually the most aerodynamic wheel design for high speed stability (at high speed, the surface becomes flat, thus no air can cut through) The air valve is also hidden in one of the spokes for aerodynamic purposes. Treat ALPINA as a limited edition BMW (why would BMW assemble a tuner car in their own plant AND give at factory warranty?) with only 1700 units produced worldwide yearly making them precious metal which would even appreciate in value in future(in Japan the waiting list is more than a year with people lining up to book), then you would appreciate it the way I do. In South east Asia, these cars are fit for royalty, with many of them buying few units at a time for the private collection. So, whichever rocks your boat, cos some people may find Kim K a goddess, but to me she's a fat elephant. hahaha M and ALPINA rules, life is too short to be driving an AMG |
